C.W. Post. The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University is a private educational institution that was founded in 1954 to accommodate the educational needs of World War II veterans living in Nassau County. C.W. Post offers its 8,500 full- and part-time students a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs in accountancy, business, computer science, education, health professions and nursing, liberal arts and sciences, library and information science, public service, and the visual and performing arts.
