  • From Long Island Expressway. Take the Long Island Expressway (Route 495) to Exit 49N (Route 110). Follow Route 110 north 5-7 miles to Jericho Turnpike. Make a left onto Jericho Turnpike. The hotel is located on the left side of Jericho Turnpike, ½ mile west of Route 110. 
     
  • From Grand Central Parkway/Northern State Parkway. Follow Grand Central Parkway (which becomes Northern State Parkway) east to exit 40 north (Route 110). Vanderbilt Museum. Located on the 43-acre estate of William K. Vanderbilt, great-grandson of railroad tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt, the Vanderbilt Museum is impossible to categorize. It features the Gold Coast-era mansion [1910-1936], a marine museum, natural history habitats, curator’s cottage, seaplane hangar, boathouse and numerous other estate features, including gardens, fountains, balustrades and pools. Heckscher Museum of Art. The Heckscher Museum of Art is devoted to 19th to 21st century European and American art. There are more than 2000 works in the collection. In addition, the Heckscher features George Grosz’s 1926 large masterpiece Eclipse of the Sun, one of the most important paintings in 20th-century art, as well as other significant works by the Berlin Dadaist.
